3D-Printed Chess Set : Concepts

 Howdy partners! So for my chess set concepts I decided to sketch them out digitally. I drew out 4 different choices that are outside of the typical chess visuals although I still tried to have a similar height hierarchy and some symbol of increasing importance so it would be easier to tell who is what on a chess board. 

  CATS : my first set are some variously shaped standing cats. The base of the cats I think would be pretty simple to print because it would just be essentially a rounded cylinder with maybe a few bump-outs or rounded additions. I also added some different hat accessories to help with hierarchy. This option is also more tall shaped, so that they would be easier to pick up.

  BLOB BABIES : my second choice are kind of blob-like lazy looking babies. These are a little bit more intricate in the actual base shape so that might be a bit of challenge. But I think these would be more stable because they have a larger bottom and because they are sitting down they would look well resting on a chess board. 

 Nesting Dolls : these designs are a lot more simple in the actual shape so it would probably be the easiest to print. However it would have some indentation around the face and of course the hats. I was also thinking that if I wanted some sort of challenge and if its possible that it would be cool if I can actually make them open up and function like a nesting doll. Or if at least the King can open up on his own and have something inside. 

 Teeth : my last option is a bit more on the "comedic" side, I was thinking of things that come in sets and teeth came in mind. Maybe cause I also have a dentist appointment coming up lol. But yes, I think this one is more of a fun one and so I think its probably a strong contender.
