Reverse Engineered Object : Final Renders
Howdy partners! These are my final renders and showcase of my Crab Hair Clip.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
For this project we had to choose an object that we could disassemble
and measure with callipers to .01mm accuracy. Showing as well how the components interact with each other when assembled, and also how they looked on their own. When choosing my object, I wanted to make sure it was something that I could measure all the features of and so being able to take everything apart was really important.
My choice was deceptively tricky because although there were 4 parts,
and 2 of them were pretty much duplicates of each other with a few differences, the "claw" components definitely took some time. There
was a point after my first attempt at the "main body" that I had to stop and reassess my process and figure out a better way of doing things. And that pause definitely allowed for a better approach that made things a lot more simpler by drawing them out in 2d and then extruding. As a whole, since this was my first time recreating something to this degree of accuracy, it was really enjoyable being able to see it slowly come into existence, and by creating my own texture pattern, I felt that it really did resemble the original clip.

And now for the renders!!!
Thats all folks,
Thanks!
